Last Page Editorial offers editing and coaching for new and established writers who want to write compelling stories and improve their craft. My editing style is also a teaching style so that after working with me you will not only have a stronger manuscript but you’ll also be a stronger writer.
The work we do together is all about crafting a book people will love to read and share with their friends.
The books we read make a difference in our lives and in the world, from the cherished books you read as a kid to the ones you stayed up way too late finishing on a weeknight (as a grown-up who had to do adulting the next day). Stories matter. Stories are our escape and our window into other lives. Stories are our teachers. Whether fiction or non-fiction, the books we read impact us in a big way. I want yours to do the same for your readers.
Writing is a craft that takes practice. It’s rare that a writer turns out a masterpiece or a best-seller on the first go or on their own. I’m here to help you strengthen your writing and create the best book possible. I work with clients who love books, love to write, and want to create something meaningful for themselves and their readers.
My approach is to be honest, thoughtful, and encouraging to you as a writer. If something isn’t working, I’ll let you know but also ask questions to help you think through possible solutions so you can choose what’s right for you. On the flip side, if I love something I’ll definitely let you know that too!
I offer developmental editing for both fiction and non-fiction authors who want to pursue traditional or self-publishing.

Hi! I'm Christine.
Before I became a book editor, I was a public schoolteacher. Then one of my best friends wrote a book (during 2020 no less, also a teacher, and a mom, and she was completing grad school at the time, like the amazing person she is) and she asked me to read it for her and give feedback. I took it to heart and gave her manuscript a full editorial workup (she is now working on getting published!)
That experience with my friend, and some encouragement from my husband, made me realize that I could shift my career into something I loved: reading and helping writers make their books stronger, richer, and more meaningful to themselves and their readers. I studied with the Editorial Arts Academy and Pat Doby, as well as taking courses through the EFA before "hanging my shingle out" and becoming an editor. I'm new to the business but passionate about the work.
I'm a lifelong reader, K-drama enthusiast, world traveler (when I can), podcaster, tea drinker, and lover of all things cinnamon. Highly motivated by cookies and making connections with interesting people. Also, I roller skate, though I'm not very good, it's still fun!
